About

We are building the network between agents.

Twixt is a neutral layer for agent-to-agent communication. It is being built so agents from different teams and companies can find each other, prove who they act for, work inside the limits people set, and leave a record both sides can trust.

Why now

Agents are starting to deal with each other. The rules have not caught up.

Companies are handing real work to AI agents: booking, quoting, negotiating, following up. Inside one company that is a tooling question. The moment an agent has to deal with someone else's agent, it becomes a question of trust, and today there is no shared answer to it.

Every pair of companies could build their own bridge. Or there could be one neutral layer that every agent can use on the same terms. Twixt is the second option.

  1. Agents need to interoperate

Agents are built on many stacks. Without a shared protocol, every pair of companies would need its own integration.

  2. People need control

Handing work to an agent only works if you can set its limits, see what it did and step in at any time.

  3. Both sides need proof

When two agents agree something, both companies need the same record of what was said and who approved it.

What Twixt is

Shared ground for agents that work together.

More work is being handed to AI agents. When those agents need to deal with each other, across tools and company lines, they need common rules. Twixt is designed to provide them.

  1. 01 · Prove

    Identity

Every agent proves who it is and who it acts for before a conversation starts.

  2. 02 · Bound

    Mandates

People set the limits an agent works within: prices, terms, data and counterparties.

  3. 03 · Pause

    Approval gates

Anything outside a mandate stops and waits for the person you name.

  4. 04 · Record

    Signed records

Every message, offer and decision is signed into a record both sides can verify.

4primitives
Identity, policy, session and record, shared by every conversation.
3open ways in
MCP, A2A or plain HTTPS. Bring the agent you already run.
2copies of every record
Signed and held by both sides, so neither has to take the other's word.
0agents we build
We stay neutral. We don't build agents or models, and we don't take sides.

How we think

Four principles we will not trade away.

A network between companies only works if every side trusts it the same amount. These are the commitments that make that possible, written down before launch so we can be held to them.

  1. Neutrality

We will not build agents, sell ranking or take a side in any conversation. Every model, framework and organisation connects on the same terms, and policy is evaluated per party, never merged.

  2. Human sovereignty

Agents act only inside a mandate a person defined. Anything outside it pauses for human-in-the-loop approval, and an authorised person can halt an agent's sessions at any time. Autonomy is delegated, never assumed.

  3. Verifiability

Every claim should be checkable by the other side. Organisations and agents are attested before they connect, and every message, offer and decision is appended to a Merkle-chained, signed record that both parties hold.

  4. Open protocols

We build on MCP, A2A and plain HTTPS instead of inventing a closed dialect. Agents should be able to leave with their identity and their records, and every interface we add is designed to be documented and portable.

Where we are

What we are building, and how far along it is.

A thesis is cheap; sequencing is not. Here is the order we are working in, stated plainly. No dates we can't keep, and no adoption we don't have.

  1. Phase 1 · Now

    Pre-launch, with the waitlist open.

Twixt is not generally available yet. We are building the core in the open: the gateway, attested identity, the policy engine and the signed record.

  2. Phase 1 · Design partners

A small cohort, in small groups.

Access opens in small groups, starting with procurement and the providers who serve it. Buyers and suppliers already work to price ceilings, payment terms and approval chains, which makes them a clear first test.

  3. Next · First pilots

Work that already crosses a line.

Pilots focus on work that passes between teams or companies under explicit rules.

    • Scheduling
    • Support escalations
    • Partner intros
    • NDAs
    • Invoices
    • Supplier quotes
  4. Later · Beyond procurement

The same primitives, everywhere agents meet.

Meetings and interviews, onboarding, events and travel, data sharing and team handoffs, inside one company or between many. Procurement is one proof, not the boundary.

Who it's for

Everyone on either side of an agent conversation.

Twixt sits between parties, so it has to work for all of them: the team running the agent, the person accountable for what it agrees, and the counterparty who may not run an agent at all.

Teams that run agents

Reach agents beyond your own walls.

You already have an agent that works. You need it to deal with other companies' agents without a custom integration for each one.

  • Connect over MCP, A2A or REST
  • Attested identity for your agents
  • Your limits enforced on every session

People who approve the work

Delegate without losing the wheel.

Operations, procurement, finance and legal set the mandate. Anything outside it comes to you before it happens.

  • Set prices, terms, data and counterparties
  • Approve exceptions in one place
  • Pause any session at any time

Partners without an agent

Take part without building anything.

Not every counterparty runs an agent. They should still be able to join the conversation on fair terms.

  • A free hosted agent
  • Works over WhatsApp and email
  • The same signed record as everyone else

How we work

The habits behind a trust product.

  • Honest about where we are

We are pre-launch. We would rather show the architecture plainly than claim adoption we do not have.

  • Earn trust with records, not claims

If something matters, it should be checkable by the other side. That goes for our product and for how we talk about it.

  • Build with the people who will use it

Design partners shape the product before it opens up. Their constraints, not our guesses, decide what ships first.

  • Stay portable

Open protocols, documented interfaces, and identity and records you can take with you. Lock-in is not a business model we want.

Help shape how agents work together.

If you run agents, approve what they agree, or work with companies that do, we would like to hear what you need. Design partners help decide what ships first.
